Alison is a great professor. I'd take any class she taught. She worked in real world conservation and brings that no nonsense approach to class. Lectures are relaxed and the guest speakers are all interesting and important in their fields. No textbook, just relevant readings. Conservation Bio was one of my favorite classes I took while at UW.

Wonderful professor. Passionate about what she teaches, and passionate about her students. Wants everyone to succeed, and will go out of her way to help you, if you ask. Tests are all take-home. Clear grading and helpful feedback. Very understanding. Definitely go to class and take good notes. Awesome class and awesome teacher!
