Worst professor I've had. If you can take a class with anyone else, do it. If not, Aki's lectures only make sense if you already know the material—his analogies/tangents are otherwise completely useless. To get anything out of the lectures, read the book beforehand or ask ChatGPT during class. They'll teach you much more than Aki can or ever will.

He is the worst lecturer... if you're taking a class with him, expect to be teaching yourself out of the book. He wrote in faded marker on a whiteboard in a huge lecture hall and he mumbled when he talked. However, his homeworks were easy and his tests were basically just homeworks, but reworded. So study the homeworks and its honestly an easy A.

The worst prof ever. Just talk things he wants randomly. No structure at all.

The most abysmal professor I have ever encountered. Lectures were a mess, rarely followed the textbook, had frequent typos, and tended to linger on unimportant topics. He's got good humor, but can't teach to save his life. The only reason I took anything away from this class was because of the TA. If you have the chance, SAVE YOURSELF.

PLEASE AVOID! STUDENTS ARE DOING EVERYTHING TO AVOID HIM!!

The worst professor at UW and maybe even in the country. His lectures are full of tangents, mistakes, and poor derivations of key equations. I learned 100% of the class content from our TA. You'd learn more about E&M from getting struck by lightning than from taking 322 with Aki. DO NOT take this professor.

I may as well have not even gone to any of the lectures. The TA is responsible for 90% of my understanding of the course material. Lectures are confusing, the handwriting is bad, and mistakes are prevalent. Honestly one of the funniest professors ive had though. He also wears a tanktop every day which is based I guess.

Aki frequently rambles, writes down wrong things, and uses confusing notation. This class is best spent doing work for other classes and occasionally looking up to write down important results. Otherwise, use the textbook, wikipedia, and youtube to learn thermo.

He sometimes uses different notations from the book. One of the only reasons I go to his lectures is to know what notation is what. Apart from that, no TA, no discussion, no canvas page, unorganized lectures. Good luck and get ready to study from youtube. Google multiplicity function, might be helpful. Aki is a nice dude tho.

Often got core concepts wrong, and completely unorganized.

Does not adhere to McBurney standards. Unable to answer requests for additional resouces regarding material taught. Very difficult to follow lectures as they're often unorganized.

Prof. Hashimoto is an interesting, engaging, and wandering professor. However, if you read Griffiths to supplement lectures or do more than the two homework problems assigned a week, you won't understand his lengthy discussions on the finer details. Read the book.

I dont know what these people are talking about, aki is great at lol

Sorry Aki, you are a good guy, but not a very good teacher.

Hardest prof ever. Just run. Even with open book exams, Every one fails them flat out with no chance! Can't read what he writes on the board, but it doesn't matter cause it is straight from the book. You HAVE to do well on the hw to get a decent grade!

Heavy accent, not very clear, but open book exams are a winner!

TERRIBLE!!! But you will get at least a C if it's Thermo and you actually do the HW.

Try to count how many times he says "Ahh" in one lecture. Just try it...
