I think Adil does his best given how difficult the topics are in the first place. He cares deeply about his students if they are willing to give him the chance and took the time past office hours to help me fix an error. He made an announcement today wishing all of us well and thanking us for the semester despite all the hate he received on piazza.

Adil is a soft-spoken man, quite even-keeled. But, while his patience may be inexhaustible, ours is not. Adils cryptic lecture slides and his propensity for accidentally teaching incorrect facts during lecture made learning very challenging. Highly recommend the 2019 edition of Introduction to Computing Systems - youll need it.

Adil is nice but I've never seen a class that was less useful. You won't learn anything and your grade will depend on how much you know going into it. Because I could already do basic binary arithmetic I got an easy A in the class and someone who I know who works a hundred times harder than me probably won't because she didn't.

Adil struggles to explain most things on his slides during lectures. I have looked for information in the lessons online and find almost exact or similar slides from other universities leading me to believe he just uses the same slide layouts and images as other professors. Extremely dry slides and very hard to stay attentive.

Poor Adil, you really want to like the guy, but the class is so complicated that even when he tries - which is rarely - the information just goes way over everyone's heads. He's a nice guy, but the information given on piazza and canvas contradict each other, most homework questions aren't answered in lecture, and the discussion sessions are jokes.
