Class is based on discussion and class participation. Adeola is a sweet, caring, and intelligent woman I loved her as a professor! She explains each discussion topic in class so discussion/debate was always in-depth. The final is a research paper, was not hard at all and we worked on it throughout the semester. Dr. Adeola has to be one of my favorite professors at UW-Madison hands down. She really wants to help you become a better writer, and offers great feedback. More than any other course I have taken at UW-Madison, this class made me a better student and person. Dr. Agoke genuinely cares about her students and wants them to learn and succeed. Participating in class is necessary in order to succeed. Adeola makes it clear what she does and does not like so you can take that information going forward with papers. Adeola was my favorite professor at UW, and I'm a senior so that's a huge compliment! She is CARING and compassionate. She expects students to engage in the course content, and if you don't participate or do the readings, you will get nothing from the class. I would recommend her to anyone.
