Professor Lo knows her stuff, put in the work and you'll understand

I was excited to take a methods class but this was not good. Adeline didn't seem able to explain concepts clearly. Also it looks like her published papers were with her DAD as coauthor. Talk about nepotism in academia. I was not surprised since she didn't seem well suited to teach methods. Maybe better for younger students

The class was less relevant for us in polisci and close to stats but not math heavy enough for stats. It required tons of homework which was frustrating given how irrelevant it was. As a professor, Adeline didn't stand out. She talked at us a lot and did things that seemed fake-nice. Would have preferred more collaboration and authenticity.

Class was OK. It covered important material but Professor Lo was mediocre at best. She knew the stuff but wasn't very effective in teaching it. She also set very high expectations for the class but then did not set us up for success. She seemed pretty new and anxious. I recommend the class but maybe with a different prof

Took this class to hit QRB and Research Methods reqs at once. Expected the class to be difficult & it was. Much more of a comp sci & stats class than poli sci. Expect to spend a significant amount of time on problem sets each week. Adeline is very nice but also pretty no nonsense. Overall, a class that requires a lot of effort in order to do ok.

There were a lot of tedious problem sets and she had very, very high expectations of us, but overall I really liked her and thought she was a good professor! She made an effort to address everyone by their name and really learn her students and be a fair professor.
