His teaching methodology involves teaching by  plethora of examples. His homework are pretty simple and straight  forward . The course on the whole deals with implementing ideas of optimization such as KKT etc in MATLAB . The graphical illustrations are specifically helpful in understanding the algorithms.  Questions and discussions are part of the class.
