Course Description

Explore the historical, contextual, and societal factors that shape an individual's navigation of the world with disability, including identity development and individual understandings of impairment, inaccessibility, community participation, and disability activism and culture. Gain knowledge about disability history, current issues in disability communities, and local and national disability groups that support community connection and activism.
