  • Critically evaluate the application of relevant theories or physiologic models to the health problem as experienced in the selected care setting.

  • Identify and analyze patient, provider, and system factors present in the care setting that may influence the formulation of research questions, study design and conduct, interpretation of findings and translation into practice.

  • Describe operational procedures and issues for conducting research in the selected care setting.

  • Demonstrate the ability to synthesize and communicate relevant research findings to practitioners and potential research collaborators in the care setting.
