Examines music in higher education as a career pathway. Provides preparation for the academic job market to be competitive to enter the higher education workforce after graduation. Topics and activities include higher education program development and planning, basics of higher education budgeting and finance, organizational structures, explorations of the various types of positions in higher education, recruiting in the arts in higher education, mock interviews, introduction to pedagogical structures and methods, and others.
