What you’ll be able to do

Develop and polish professional materials, including a basic professional website, headshot, curriculum vitae, sample cover letters, etc.
Refine professional presentation, interviewing, and written skills.
Describe basic music higher education accreditation (National Association of Schools of Music and the regional accreditation bodies) and the application of accreditation to the operations of a music unit.

Topics and activities include higher education program development and planning, basics of higher education budgeting and finance, organizational structures, explorations of the various types of positions in higher education, recruiting in the arts in higher education, mock interviews, introduction to pedagogical structures and methods, and others.
