Define an engineering problem as it relates to clients and stakeholders, and translate stakeholder requirements into engineering specifications
Research previous solutions to similar design problems
Identify potentially relevant standards to design problems
Work together on a team that fosters inclusiveness, delegate responsibility, and plan tasks and monitors effort to better achieve objectives that meet client requirements
Build an effective physical or analytical prototype
Communicate design progress in written and oral format
