INDEPENDENT READING OR RESEARCH
Provides opportunities for graduate students to gain experience using the scientific method to address specific scientific problems. This includes selection of a research topic, performing literature reviews to evaluate peer-reviewed and other publications, developing a research design, identifying possible pitfalls, and performing and reporting on experiments performed.
