Topics in professional development include mental health in graduate education, individual development planning, and transitions to self-directed learning. Ethics instruction addresses conflicts of interest, collaborative research, peer review, data acquisition and management, and research misconduct. All National Institutes of Health (NIH) recommended topics for Responsible Conduct of Research are covered.
