Issues surrounding stretegic decisions to adopt new technologies and modern improvement philosophies, the impact these will have on the organization and its members, obstacles preventing successful implementations, and the effective management of change processes. Change triggered by process technologies, and models of change management, form the core of the course.

PRACTICE INNOVATION I

PHMPRAC 628

Application of foundational knowledge of project management to hands-on experiences planning positive change within the health care system. Students will learn to think strategically, to critically assess a problem, identify solutions, and implement change. Students will integrate concepts in their practice area of interest with the project management skills learned in this course.
